The authorship of most of the Book of Proverbs is ascribed to Solomon, the king to whom God gave the gift of wisdom. The Book of Proverbs provides moral and ethical instruction that deals with many aspects of life.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Prov 1:7).
