Jesus Christ established two ordinances for Christian Believers to observe – (1) Baptism and (2) The Lord’s Supper. Two elements are used in the Lord’s Supper – The Bread, which represents Jesus’ Body that was scourged and broken before and during His crucifixion and The Cup, which represents His shed blood.
- “For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come” (1 Cor 11:26).
