Marriage is designed to portray a living picture of the Gospel – Christ’s love for the church and the church’s response to Christ.

Regardless of the adversity and calamity you are going through, remind yourself that God will never leave you or abandon you (Heb 13:5). God is Still in Control!

We partake of the Lord’s Table (Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper) on the first Sunday of the month. Only born-again Believers should partake in Communion – It is for Christians only. According to the Apostle Paul, in verse 21, It is inconsistent for a Believer to partake in the Table of the Lord and the table of Devils.

Believers are called to come to Christ, becoming “Living Stones” themselves, built into a spiritual house – a holy priesthood – to offer sacrifices and “declare praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

Spiritual Maturity is an ongoing process that begins after salvation. The process is characterized by Christlike character, discernment of good and evil, and steadfastness in faith.

According to our text, Jesus was crucified between two malefactors (criminals) on a rocky hill called Calvary. On one cross – we see Christ dying For Sin – On another cross we see a criminal dying In his Sin, and on the last cross we see a criminal dying To his Sin.

Today’s message – “Love One Another Fervently” tells us that: The Holy Spirit loved us and brought us to Christ. This same Spirit has planted within us a Love for the People of God.

In verse 13, Peter shifts to Motives for Living Godly Lives.  Salvation and Eternal Life is what motivates Believers to live Godly lives – Imitate Christ – Live for Christ.
