Christian living is to be pleasing to God. Jesus lived to please His Father (John 8:29). Paul’s concern was to please God, not men (1 Thess 2:4). John urges us to do the same (1 John 3:22).
o “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight” (1 John 3:22).
