Based on the text, Paul is reaffirming to the believers at Philippi that their Citizenship is in Heaven. Our citizenship here on earth is temporary, but our citizenship in heaven is eternal. When we come to this reality as children of God and heirs of the kingdom, one would never want to jeopardize their eternal residence for this temporary one here on earth.
