The Christians at the Church in Smyrna suffered severe persecution, but they remained faithful to Christ. They maintained their faithful testimony for Christ. A true child of God will suffer persecution.
o “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Tim 3:12).
