At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell and seals Believers (Eph 1:13-14). The seal is permanent and indicates that we are His children forever and that our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (contains the names of Believers who will enjoy eternity with the Lord).
